About the job
Augie Studio is building the next generation of AI-powered video creation tools — think Canva meets storytelling magic. We’re looking for a UX Designer who thrives on turning complexity into intuitive, beautiful experiences. If you’re excited by creative tools, fast-moving teams, and designing for real users, this is your moment.
Responsibilities / What You’ll Do
- Lead end-to-end UX design for Augie Studio’s entire platform, and future features (like collaboration mode, Find Face, API integrations, and more).
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Leadership to translate business goals and user needs into intuitive, delightful, and scalable experiences.
- Conduct user research, interviews, usability testing, and competitor analysis to inform design decisions.
- Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs.
- Own and evolve the UX/UI system, ensuring consistency while leaving room for creativity and innovation.
- Partner with our Product and Engineering teams during sprint cycles to ensure high-quality implementation of your designs.
- Advocate for the end user, keeping simplicity, accessibility, and joy at the core of every experience.
- Help define, measure, and iterate based on UX success metrics (task completion, retention, user satisfaction, etc.).
Qualifications
- 3+ years of UX design experience, preferably in SaaS, creative tools, or AI/ML-driven products.
- A portfolio demonstrating strong UX problem-solving, wireframing, and visual design skills, ideally with examples of tools or platforms used by prosumers, marketers, or creators.
- Strong understanding of interaction design principles, user-centered design processes, and usability best practices.
- Experience conducting user research and applying insights to refine designs.
- Fluency in Figma (or similar tools) and ability to create interactive prototypes.
- Excellent communication skills – able to explain design decisions to stakeholders clearly.
- Collaborative mindset – you love working cross-functionally and iterating based on feedback.
- Knowledge of video editing platforms, creative software, or AI tools is a big plus.
